Oscar
Call Name: Oscar
Show Name: FL A Champ's Champion
Gender: dog
Birth Date: April 23, 1999
Altered: yes
Breed: Labrador Retriever
Eye Color: brown
Markings: yellow
History: Oscar is named after the boxer Oscar DeLahoya because not only was he the only yellow lab in the litter but he was the only boy (thus the "golden boy"). He was bred to be a working field Labrador, and was bought by Robert Little in the summer of 1999.
Though Robert did not enter Oscar in any competitions and had the him neutered, he did bring Oscar with him everywhere. Oscar has ridden on long car trips, has been on several different types of boats including a sailboat, he's been hiking, swimming, rock climbing, and has been to many National Parks. Oscar and Robert became very close and loved each other very much.
But Oscar knew before Robert did that the man was sick. He could smell it on him, and in early 2001 Robert found out from the doctors that he had an aggressive form of brain cancer. By the end of that year, Robert was dead, and Oscar had to sit by and watch it happen. He was devastated and sad. If that weren't bad enough no one in Robert's family wanted to take Oscar in. Oscar was Robert's dog, and no one else wanted to deal with it. They thought that he'd always be bothering them to do the many different things that Robert did with him if they took him. It was only a few weeks after the funeral when they were making noise about taking Oscar to the pound.
In stepped James. Oscar knew James from all along, and James said that he would take the dog in. Knowing that the former SEAL also engaged in the same activities that Robert did, the family let Oscar go to him without looking back.
At first Oscar was confused. He didn't understand why he was going to a new house, even though he was happy and comfortable with James and all the dogs. But after a time when both man and dog were mourning their friend, they settled into a routine that eventually became more and more easy and familiar.
Now, though Oscar still remembers Robert with fondness, he is very happy with James and loves all the years he's lived with the man. James in turn is thankful for Oscar's geniality as he's a wonderful dog for all the dogs he fosters and rescues to meet, and is also very low maintenance; James never has to worry that Oscar is going to cause any problems as he's so well-adjusted and socialized and gets along with everyone.
Oscar has become the rock for the Rauling household, and he's quite happy to have fulfilled that role.
Personality: genial, good natured, happy, well-rounded, willing to please

Rolo
Call Name: Rolo
Show Name: n/a
Gender: bitch
Birth Date: February 14, 2010
Altered: yes
Breed: Smooth Weimeraner x Smooth Collie + German Shepherd Dog
Eye Color: wall; L = amber, R= blue
Markings: liver with irish white. White blaze continuing down neck to chest and belly, white tailtip, white socks. Feathered coat. Medium shepherdy muzzle, pricked ears.
History: Breva, alone and on her own in the streets of Mushroom Grove ran into the forever roaming Buckshot in the old graveyard, where they entertained each other for several hours until Jack came and found them. Knowing what had happened, Jack made several vet visits over the next 68 days, mostly to take care of Breva's prenatal needs, but one other significant one: to neuter Buckshot. Breva and Buckshot did not comprehend what they had done until Bluebird explained. Horror was first in their minds but slowly they grew accostomed to accept that their lives were irrevocably changed and they were forever bonded. In the middle of the night on February 13th, Breva went into labor. The four liver and white puppies were born early in the morning on February 14th and were named after candy bars. Once old enough, the puppies would be spayed and neutered to prevent future unwanted litters and then parcelled out to good homes that would care for them properly through an ad in the paper and by being brought into the tack shop while Jack was working. Breva would go to live with James Rauling, and Buckshot would never wander again.
Rolo was the most energetic of the puppies from the beginning. Constantly clamboring over the others to just do anything. She definately inherited the drive to work and do things, anything at all. Jack, though, was used to dogs with this type of personality and quickly was able to channel her energy into learning to do an assortment of simple commands. Keen to what is asked of her and willing to please, Rolo would be best suited to do something like flyball or agility. She should form a strong bond with her owner as she's quite affectionate and her willingness to please makes her easy to train; but also destructive if left in the wrong hands.
Throughout his life, Rico had loved dogs and training them. He grew up alongside border collies, and at the age of fifteen his mother gave him his own puppy to train. Marco, as he named the black and white border, became Rico's closest friend. He trained the pup every command he could think of, and when there were no more tricks to learn, they started competing. Marco and Rico won obedience titles very early on; afterwards, they took to agility like fish to water. Rico had Marco retired from the sport at the age of eight due to the dog getting up in years, and he moved to Mushroom Grove around this time. He started training Marco to work as a possible therapy dog, maybe to bring to patients at the hospital where he worked.
When the border was ten, Rico noticed that his normally-healthy partner has lost his appetite, vomiting when he did eat, and was losing weight rapidly. The vet diagnosed Marco with gastrointestinal lymphoma, and Rico agreed to have the dog treated. Many chemotherapy appointments and plenty of medications later, Marco died a year later, leaving Rico devastated. He took a leave of absence at the hospital to recoup and found part-time work at a mens clothing store.
Along came Rolo a few years later; when he read the ad in the paper for shepherd/collie+weim puppies he couldn't help but just stop in to see them. Something just clicked when he picked up little, squirmy Rolo and he insisted that he take her. He promised Jack that he'd give work for the dog to do and that she'd never be bored; after all, for eleven years of his life he and Marco had been learning non-stop, with his work cut short right as the border was still learning. He did not mean to train Rolo exactly as he did Marco, but to find her niche in time and keep her as happy and busy as he could.

Pox
Call Name: Pox
Show Name: n/a
Gender: bitch
Birth Date: May 19, 2008
Altered: no
Breed: australian shepherd x rough collie + chow x laekanois
Eye Color: pale blue
Markings: extreme rose merle with tan points and white. Medium-length coat, one button ear, one straight, build like a rough collie only a bit more rangy.
History: Pox was born to Travesty and Freemont along with four other siblings. Travesty killed two of them when they were one month old, and would have killed Pox had Freemont not intervened. As it was, she was dropped on her head, causing some small brain damage and hearing loss.
She was born schizophrenic, but certainly being hit on the head didn't help. The schizophrenia did not manifest fully until she was six months of age. She hears voices constantly now, and has a hard time distinguishing the voices of her family from the ones in her head. She'll think she's replying to one of them when it's only in her head.
She isn't useful for much as a pack member, but Travesty keeps her around because she's her daughter, and that bond mother nature instilled is there no matter what.
Both Mire and Muck try to take care of her as best as they can, but sometimes she's too much to handle. There's no telling how she will react if Muck ends up getting forced out of the pack.
Personality: when she has a clear moment she's sweet and kind with a child-like innocence, but most of the time she ranges from confused and disoriented to shrieking raving mad.

Rexes
Call Name: Rexes (rex for short)
Show Name: n/a
Gender: dog
Birth Date: May 14, 2009
Altered: no
Breed: Chow Chow x Laekanois + Rough Collie x Australian Shepherd
Eye Color: blue
Markings: blue merle with white; blaze, chest, toes, and tailtip. Stocky and large, built like a chow or an Aussie. Will have a short coat, but it will still be rough and wavy; a little longer than a true smooth coated dog's. Drop eared. Full grown will be 42 inches.
History: When breeding season came yet again, Travesty could not ignore her hormones despite how much she loathed giving birth the year before and the continued presence of those who sucked the life out of her for weeks at a time. Her mother had only ever had one litter, and she hoped in the back of her mind that the same would be of her. She was wrong, and nature had her way with her one more time. Though this time when the pups were born Travesty was captured by their beauty. She hadn't seen dogs with coats this beautiful, and this time she took care of them willingly with Freemont's help. The pups would grow up not understanding why Mire had such mixed feelings about their mother or what happened to Pox, and simply began to think of her as a perpetual puppy. Though they would always wonder what became of the mysterious Muck that their older sisters spoke of, life for this litter would be much different than the last.
As a puppy he was always the last to do everything behind his eager sisters. He didn't resent them for it, rather accepted that his place would be behind them, looking while they leaped. As he grows, he will take on this role for the entire pack. With his deep, booming bark radically different from either of his parents', he will take it upon himself to be the watchdog on the borders and keep out any outsiders. With his large size he's not as adept at hunting as he could be, but he is certainly adept at being a guardian and protector, and takes to this role naturally.

Show Name: n/a
Gender: bitch
Birth Date: May 19, 2008
Altered: no
Breed: Australian shepherd x rough collie + chow x laekanois
Eye Color: wall; left blue, right brown
Markings: rose merle with tan points and white (rear toes, chest). Plush coat, ears flop 3/4 of the way, build like an Aussie only taller and more rangy.
History: Mire was born to Travesty and Freemont along with four other siblings. Travesty killed two of them when they were one month old, and would have killed Pox had Freemont not intervened.
Mire's closest to her father and her sister. Though there are times when Pox is just far too much for the young dog to handle. She's concerned about the tension between everyone that seems to settle on Muck, and can't figure it out even though deep down her instincts tell her that this is how it should be.
Mire is becoming adept at hunting, having inherited that from her mother. She may have also inherited her bi-polar eyes but not the mood swings so apparent in her mother. Also not as stubborn or strong-willed as Freemont, she seems to be the temperance of the family.
Personality: Even keeled, intelligent, strong, reliable. Mixture between her parents, but without the extremes of each.

Markings: Sable Merle with white; white on face as a blaze, back of neck, over hips, and tailtip. Body type similar to a collie, and will have a full longhaired collie coat. Will have button ears once developed. Full grown will be 30 inches.
History: When breeding season came yet again, Travesty could not ignore her hormones despite how much she loathed giving birth the year before and the continued presence of those who sucked the life out of her for weeks at a time. From the beginning Satyne followed in her sister's paw-prints. No matter what Worlock was doing, she had her back. Once introduced to her older sisters, she quickly warmed up to them, and began to follow them around as well, taking turns throughout the day. She has an outgoing, lovable personality and a joie de vivre that hides a crafty cunningness underneath. Charming on the surface, she could be plotting your demise and you'd never ever know until it was too late. She also took to hunting like a duck to water, but not with the same ferocity as her sister. When she grows up, she will become the glue that binds the pack together, accepting any outsider with a gleeful exterior even if she's really thinking of snapping their neck off inside.

Markings: Liver and Tan with white; white on muzzle, toes, and tailtip. Built almost identical to an Aussie shepherd with a similar half-length rough coat. Drop eared. Full grown will be 35 inches tall.
History: When breeding season came yet again, Travesty could not ignore her hormones despite how much she loathed giving birth the year before and the continued presence of those who sucked the life out of her for weeks at a time. Worlock was bold and daring from the beginning, the first one to try crawling out of the den on her own. She would grow to be the one not afraid of anything, not even the wild storms that occasionally rocked the coast during the summer. Her daring nature belied a subtle savagery, she took to hunting with the seriousness and thrill that only a true predator does; she doesn't just hunt because she needs to, she hunts because she loves to. Though she is headstrong, bold, and brave, she has her parents' backs without any question or hesitance, and will become their beta, their second in command. Taking that space will leave her to be the only other pack member allowed to mate and have pups, which may eventually bring more tension to the pack.

Travesty
Call Name: Travesty
Show Name: n/a
Gender: bitch
Birth Date: March 2005
Altered: no
Breed: rough collie x Australian shepherd
Eye Color: wall
Markings: rose merle with tan points and flashy irish white. Resembles most closely a rough collie, with button ears and a full coat. Is a little more stocky and her muzzle a little more stunted from the Aussie in her.
History: Her grandmother, her mother's mother, was an escapee of a kennel who was shut down for animal cruelty. She simply ran away in the chaos of it being shut down and lived in the wild. Her mother was born in the wild and was mostly rough collie, probably mixed with some other herding breed like a border collie though none can say for sure, and she could have been purebred. Her father was an Australian shepherd whose owner didn't realize that there was a bitch in heat in the area and let him to run in his pen in the yard. Travesty was also born in the wilds, the lone survivor of a litter born too soon in the spring. She grew up learning the harshness that the wild can bring, the storms and the injuries and the punishment of the elements. That probably contributed most to her personality, though her mother was not nice either. She broke paths with her mother at age one, and began to run on her own, spilling some blood along the way -- both hers and other's. Her herding heritage makes her an excellent hunter, and she can most certainly take care of herself. She has never known humans, neither their kindness nor their wrath, and would probably distrust them if she ever met one face to face.
Her wanderings took her to Mushroom Grove where she fell in for a time with Cobra and his Whitefoam Pack. It was there that she met Freemont and became his companion. After both were attacked by Dawg in the middle of breeding season, the two fled down river until they hit the beach and could go no farther without crossing it.
It was there that they set up their own territory for their own pack, and then mated, producing five offspring early in the summer of 2008. Two of them were killed by Travesty herself when they were about a month old, and the other three grew up under Freemont's care.
Muck, Mire, and Pox still reside with the two alphas, but Travesty is growing increasingly tense with the presence of Muck who is becoming in her eyes a challenge to Freemont's position. Soon, she will be forced by nature to drive him out.
Personality: ruthless, fearless, determined, domineering, nasty, confrontational

Muck
Call Name: Muck
Show Name: n/a
Gender: dog
Birth Date: May 19, 2008
Altered: no
Breed: Australian shepherd x rough collie + chow x laekanois
Eye Color: brown
Markings: sable with white (tail tip, paws). Full longhair coat, button ears, build like a collie only taller and more rangy. Full grown will be almost as tall as his mom at 36 inches.
History: Muck was born to Travesty and Freemont along with four other siblings. Travesty killed two of them when they were one month old, and would have killed Pox had Freemont not intervened.
Muck is nervous of his mother, and devoted to his sisters. He feels the need to protect them and stand in for them when needed, especially because Pox is so disabled. As if it was a dream, he barely remembers the fuzzy events of the day when he was three months old that his mother killed his two siblings. He remembers Freemont intervening, and knows that he'd be dead too if he hadn't.
He is generally moody and melancholy when he's on his own, and doesn't understand the increasing tensions in the pack that centre on him. He doesn't know that this is nature's way, nature seems to be a benevolent force acting around him. Others are what good and bad are made up of, not nature.
He'll soon learn that nature has fangs as sharp as his mother's.
Personality: moody and depressed, but still has a sense of responsibility and duty.

Caoimhe is more rough and tumble than her sister, though she quite definately enjoys being groomed and showing, she has far more fun in an outdoor setting. Voodoo
Call Name: Voodoo
Show Name: n/a
Gender: bitch
Birth Date: May 2002
Altered: yes
Breed: mongrel
Eye Color: brown. Left eye is squinty.
Markings: cream wirehair carrying smooth; about the size and build of a lab, rose ears, thin muzzle. Has a dudley nose (light/brown stripe down middle of nose).
History: Voodoo was only a few weeks old when the person who owned her mother threw her and her siblings out of a second-story window onto the hard pavement of the driveway. Horrified neighbors converged, calling the SPCA as they went to see if any of the puppies had lived. At first it was thought that all were dead, but Voodoo gave a small gaspy breath and the neighbors dashed into action.
One of the women knew of Luna Labelle and rushed to her house with the puppy for a quick blessing from Luna before they took her to the vet. No one thought the puppy would survive the night, but the next day she raised her head and only continued to improve.
When she was able to be released, the neighbors who found her gave her to Luna and named her Voodoo, after what they believed saved the dog's life.
Voodoo and Luna settled in together, and only a few times did Voodoo ever wander. One of those times she came home pregnant, and had a litter consisting of Chicken Foot and Zombie. Luna had her spayed after that, and kept the two puppies, who were named humorously.
Though Voodoo doesn't understand why Luna does the things she does, or why she thinks this magic works, she knows the mammy means well and trusts her. They've become best friends and Voodoo wouldn't want it any other way. Occasionally she follows her restless children on their adventures, but most of the time she remains at Luna's side.
Her drop from the window has left lasting impression on her. She has a soft spot on her skull that Luna is very careful not to touch, and she gets grand mal seizures, though not as frequently now that she is older. Her left eye is unable to open fully and so always looks as if she's squinting.
Personality: even-keeled, sweet, and kind. Becomes disoriented and confrontational a little bit before she has a seizure.
Makayla
Call Name: Makayla
Show Name: PS The Magik The Charisma The Legend
Gender: dog
Birth Date: March 3, 2002
Altered: yes
Breed: German- Blooded German Shepherd Dog
Eye Color: brown
Markings: Black and tan with mask.
History: Sire: PS Legend of Tyme
Dam: PS Karisma of Patience
Protect and Serve Kennel is a Memphis based kennel which specializes in breeding Malinois and German Shepherds for police work. Dogs who do not meet the very high expectations of the police force are still not anything close to being a pet, and so are used for guard dogs for people who know what they are dealing with.
Makayla was one of those dogs who didn't make the cut for the academy and so was purchased by James Rauling as a guard dog at one year of age. The kennel had provided him his previous guard dog (who died of old age) and was quite pleased to work with him again.
Makayla had a normal upbringing at the kennel, his days filled with all sorts of training and activities. Obedience, agility, schutzhund; he did it all. So he didn't have to do much more training before he could go home with James. The only bump in the road was getting him used to James, as he was trained to take instructions from one person and only one person. This required an intense bond to be forged between Makayla and James, something that Makayla was loath to do at first, upset at his sudden change in environment and routine.
But James is a patient man who knows dogs and slowly but surely won the Makayla to his side. Makayla was not even aware it had happened until a year later when Cricket remarked to him how much happier he seemed than when he first arrived there. Makayla realized the truth in this, but still could not imagine why he was so unhappy at first. But being the forward looking dog he is, he simply focused his attention to the matters at hand.
Now, almost seven years later, James has made the move to Mushroom Grove. Makayla was not as unsettled by this as he thought he would be, after all he still has James and all the dogs to protect, and the new house, though not laid out the same, is still a one story ranch house. Though it may not be the bustling metropolis of Memphis, Mushroom Grove still has plenty of stimulating things to do, and new faces to meet. No matter where life takes James, and even Mike, Mak wouldn't trade any of it for the world.
Personality: Stoic and kind, but also dangerous in the wrong hands or the wrong situation. Protective, but not overly so. Only listens to James. "Good citizen" dog. Generally quiet, always on guard, but that's not to say that he can't or won't have fun when the day is done.

Winchester
Call Name: Winchester
Show Name: BlueMoon's How The West Was Won
Gender: Dog
Birth Date: November 24 2008
Altered: yes
Breed: Olde English Bulldogge
Eye Color: brown
Markings: Fawn pied. (light red with black mask and ears, and fancy Irish white. Four white socks; white tailtip; white neck, chest and belly; white muzzle and blaze; and a jagged white patch on his back over his flanks.)
History: In his search for a good guard dog to keep his kennel and inn safe, Mike was referred to Blue Moon Kennels in Virginia. They bred working Olde English Bulldogges, and Mike found that one would be perfect to come with him to the inn. They're small enough and cute enough not to be immediately scary to others, but are still well-built and muscled enough to give someone with malintent pause.
Winchester started out as a very silly, very playful puppy. He sobered as he grew, but he still retains that joie de vivre that makes him stand out. When the kennel started to train him, he loved obedience work the most.
Time seemed to fly, and when he was only eight months old, he got a visit by Mike. He sensed there was something different about this man, and boy did he smell interesting. He felt his visit with Mike was too short, and found himself wanting to see him again, if only to dissect the smells that lingered on him.
Eventually he got his wish, and not only once, but many times. His training changed as well, teaching him to alert to strange noises and people, and to show an aggressive stance to anyone who acted threateningly. As soon as he seemed used to this training, and felt he understood what was asked of him, Mike came back, and this time he went home with the man.
The cockers at the house accepted him right away, and even though Walter seemed standoff-ish, the two took to each other and can often be found sleeping in the same bed, even though they have separate ones.
Whenever Mike goes to the Laughing Cocker Inn, Winchester accompanies him. He greets the guests pleasantly but is always on the look out for anything suspicious. He understands it's his job to protect Mike and the other dogs, and he is very pleased to do so.
Personality: Docile and protective; jovial and friendly around his family, but will be fearlessly fierce to anyone who means him or his pack harm; around strangers he's amicable but cautious, and is always on alert; enjoys his rubber balls and his fleecy dog jackets.

Walter
Call Name: Walter
Show Name: GMK's Walther PPK Double oh Seven
Gender: dog
Birth Date: Jan 18 2008
Altered: yes
Breed: Bullmastiff
Eye Color: brown
Markings: Fawn (light cream with black mask and ears)
History: Born, raised, and trained to be a working dog at Grandfather Mountain Kennels in Virginia, Walter -- originally named Walther -- had been trained for his role as a guard dog for Micheal Rauling's home and Kennel for several months before he went to his new home with Mike.
His life at the kennel was not difficult for him, he was pleased to be doing work, and it was this willingness to work and his instincts which made the kennel owners recommend him to Mike. Knowing Mike's Persian cat had been stolen right out of his yard, the kennel owners felt that a Bullmastiff would be a good guard dog for his home, though perhaps a little intimidating for his business. They recommended another Virginia kennel which specializes in breeding working Olde English Bulldogges for the Inn.
Walter first met Mike in the beginning of the summer. He liked the man instantly, and Mike seemed to cotton onto him as well. He looked at other dogs, but came back to Walter, and Walter just had a feeling that this would be his new owner.
It would not be until November that he would get to go home with him, but the extra training he was given in the mean time gave him something to think about and do in between Mike's exciting visits. Having something new to work at always thrilled and drove him to excel at whatever it was he was doing. Pleasing his masters was very important to him.
But soon enough November came and he was taken on a long car ride to his new home. When he finally arrived, he was so very pleased to find out he was at Mike's home. He was greeted at the door by a jubilant tumult of furry and silky dogs, and he understood that all the training he'd gone through was to protect these dogs and this man.
After a month of settling in, Winchester arrived to assist his guarding role. Winchester accompanied Mike to work at the Inn, and despite knowing that the Bulldogge was going places with Mike that Walter was not, he was very fond of the dog. They took together like peas and carrots, and are most often found together, even sleeping in the same dog bed despite having separate ones.
Despite his newness to the household, he is very comfortable, and cares for Mike and all the dogs. He would happily guard them even if it wasn't his job.
Personality: Amicable and friendly, though protective and confident. He is dependable, and has a strong willingness to please Mike. Despite being a guard dog, like his breed he is rather quiet and does not bark much. He is very intelligent, though slightly suspicious.

Hershey
Call Name: Hershey
Show Name: n\a
Gender: dog
Birth Date: February 14, 2010
Altered: yes
Breed: Smooth Weimeraner x Smooth Collie + German Shepherd Dog
Eye Color: amber
Markings: liver with white. white chest, white toes, white whiskerpads and chin, white tailtip. Dopey face, drop ears, feathered coat.
History: Sire: K.C.'s Dime in the Jukebox (Buckshot)
Dam: Breva/Creamer
Breva, alone and on her own in the streets of Mushroom Grove ran into the forever roaming Buckshot in the old graveyard, where they entertained each other for several hours until Jack came and found them.
At about six weeks Hershey got the telltale feathery whisps of hair on his ears that deemed he would be feathered. Reasa had already fell in love with his pudgy, squirmy self before that time, though and was very happy when Jack said she could keep him as her own after checking with her mom. The cockers were really Jack's dogs, but Hershey was all hers. Though she didn't pay for his care, Jack made sure she saw each vet bill and they discussed at length about the kinds of responsibilities that having a dog entailed. Hershey grew to love her, and grew to inherit his father's dopey, floundering stupidity. He's a loveable and energetic dog but he just does not understand things sometimes, so it's good that he's not meant to do any sort of field work.
Personality: Dopey, floundering, stupid at times, good hearted, energectic, loves Reasa.

Buckshot
Show Name: K.C.'s Dime in the Jukebox
Call Name: Buckshot
Age: September 30 2005
Gender: dog
Altered: no
Breed: smooth Weimaraner
Eye color: blue-gray
Markings: isabella; pinky blue with a metallic sheen, lighter on head and ears
History: Bred and raised by a field Weimaraner breeder, he was one of those pups from the litter that just wouldn't sell, so he stayed in the kennels. His owner Jack purchased him around the age of one and started training him as a hunting dog. He has competed in several trials, but hasn't won anything major as of yet. He is learning proper dog etiquette from his house-mate Bluebird and how to treat cats from Sky, while Jack teaches him not only how to compete in field trials but also how to contain his seemingly boundless energy. When Buckshot had just turned two, Jack decided to relocate to Mushroom Grove because he was tired of living in the middle of nowhere so far away from family and fellow dog owners. Buckshot found this the most exciting thing that's happened in his short life.
Buckshot figured out how to open the gate not long after they moved in, and would take off on "adventures" exploring the neighborhoods with Bluebird tagging along trying to keep him out of trouble. Jack, tired of searching and calling for the weim, finally used bungee cords to keep the gate shut.
Shortly after things became different. Jack brought home the spaniel mix Change and Buckshot slowly felt the need to act as a role model to the young pup. He started to contain his energy, and become more aware of his actions. He started to excel in his hunting practice.
Not long after Change appeared, Honeybee came back to Jack. Buckshot was delighted to have another cocker spaniel in the house, and was pleased that it was Bluebird's daughter. Several months after Honeybee came back she was bred, and gave birth to a single puppy. Buckshot was delighted at first, but as Sweet Pea and Change grew, the cocker spaniels didn't seem to have much to do with him anymore. Even Jack seemed pre-occupied after his friend's son Mike moved to Mushroom Grove.
Buckshot has grown stressed and despondent. He feels like his pack has abandoned him, and isn't sure what to do about this. He has figured out how to jump the fence and often goes out during the day because staying in the house feels suffocating.
Personality: Alert, energetic, impulsive, young, but also loyal to his "pack" and brave when the occasion calls for it. He won't turn tail and run if any of his housemates are in trouble.
